In Info output, if the option `--enable-encoding' is also given to
`makeinfo', a so-called `Local Variables' section (*note File
Variables: (emacs)File Variables.) is output including ENC. This
allows Info readers to set the encoding appropriately:
Local Variables:
coding: ENC
End:
As far as I can see, this doesn't happen (at least not for the
groff.texinfo file from the current CVS which contains a proper
address@hidden ISO-8859-1'). No `Local Variables' section.
