It looks like one of the sentences ends too abruptly in section 2.6.3 of the GNU tar manual (screenshot below). Instead of ending "generated the remaining," I think the sentence should end "generated the relative member names for each member in the created archive," or something like that. Whether the preceding description is accurate or not, I believe "remaining" should modify a noun somewhere, but that noun is missing from the current text.
