Thanks, but unfortunately I don't have write access to the gnustandards repository. Should I get write access?


Have you verified that directory.fsf.org supports https?
If so, you can install the changes in standards.texi.
It is hard for me to install changes there at the moment.

Yes, it supports HTTPS. I checked all the URLs in the proposed patch for HTTPS support, before submitting it.
