   Is this thread still alive, or have we, again :-(, dropped the
   ball on this?  It seemed to me we were near to reach consensus
   on the latest patches posted by Thien-Thi.  And it is a shame
   that the ChangeLog recommendations are so out-of-sync with the
   current usages and best practices.

It seems the main point of contention is whether or not TITLE
is mandatory.  If it's not mandatory, i see no point in making
the proposal -- status quo (everything optional) is fine.

The last i recall is that ams was going to post more comments.
(That's what i'm waiting for, at least.  Have i misunderstood?)
