It is just a small plain text file, so it's ok, at
least for me.
Btw I quote here the relevant part.

this is the major problem.
You need a tcl >= 8.4.4 (tclsh) to run versions 0.x of
sourceinstall.
You also need tk >= 8.4.4, and expect >= 5.38 (this
last requirement seems satisfied).

A course of action could be the following:

1) check if your GNU/Linux distribution, or some
trusted external
packager provides a suitable tcl (>=8.4.4) and tk
(>=8.4.4).
In this case, install them and you should be able
to
   complete configuration and installation of
sourceinstall successfully.

2) should your distribution lack those packages, here
are a couple of
   solutions:

2.1) you can try to use the sourceinstall-fullpack
release.
It contains the complete source code of tcl, tk
and expect, wrapped
in a self-extracting installation program that
should be able to
detect the missing dependencies on your system
and configure and
       install them for you.
KIM that I never got the chance to test the
fullpack on a 64bit
system, so you'll be pioneering a bit.
If it works it's a nice whizbang though :)

2.2) you can download and build the tcl and tk
packages from source
       yourself.

3) I am going to release sourceinstall2 "Sometimes
Soon" (TM).
Another option for you is to wait the new version,
which is a
complete reimplementation in C, with a command line
front end and a
separate GTK frontend, and will be better in many
ways.

Choice is yours now.

There is additional information about installation,
and how to get help with the fullpack release in the
manual here:

http://www.gnu.org/software/sourceinstall/manual/sourceinstall.html

check also the main web page at
http://www.gnu.org/software/sourceinstall

./configure --help also contains interesting options
(fe to force a certain tclsh or expectk interpreter)

I hope this will help,

Claudio
