That's strange, maybe the bash version is a bit old.
However, try this patch (attached:
sourceinstall-0.3-oldbash.p1.patch).
Apply it from the top source directory of
sourceinstall-0.3:
$ tar -zxvf sourceinstall-0.3.tar.gz
$ cd sourceinstall-0.3
$ patch -p1 < PATCH_FILENAME
If it does not solve, please give me the bash version
you are using, issuing:
$ /bin/bash --version
