While translating to pt_BR, I notice a few strings that could get some attention. I hope my bug report helps.
** 1st report:
#: utils/csv2rec.c:260
#, c-format
msgid "%s: %d: this line contains %d fields, but %d header fields were read\n"
msgstr ""
I suppose both placeholders %d are number of fields. Is it possible to at
least of these be non-plural? Case yes, then please consider using msgids
in Plural Form; otherwise, my language could get "1 fields" (which is incorrect)
** 2nd report:
#: utils/mdb2rec.c:259 utils/mdb2rec.c:270
#, c-format
msgid "failed to normalise field name %s\n"
msgstr ""
#: utils/mdb2rec.c:336
#, c-format
msgid "failed to normalise the field name %s\n"
msgstr ""
Just little difference between strings (one has a "the"), same meaning. Can't they be unified, like adding the to the first one?
** 3rd report:
#: utils/recsel.c:235
msgid "only one field list can be specified as a sorting criteria.\n"
msgstr ""
#: utils/rec2csv.c:142
msgid "only one list of fields can be specified as a sorting criteria.\n"
msgstr ""
Same as 2nd report. I believe it could be unified as well.
** 4th report:
Some --help output contains strings that are exceeding 80 characters. I didn't get exactly which one as I'm not on a GNU/Linux to test it, but I had to reorganize some lines on my translation. I suggest checking that, as it my me shown unformatted.
Cheers,
