Follow-up Comment #1, bug #41594 (project recutils):
I am the author of a substantial part of the manual so any problems with
English are probably my fault.
I have issue with only one change in your patch:

very pervasive changes, which could result in a large loss of data.
The phrase "erroneously use" in this instance, is an adverb modifying a noun;
which is an ERRONEOUS USE of English grammar.
