Doesn't matter, all I want to have is a translatable (and translated)
documentation, regardless of it is texinfo or roff formatted. And of course it
should be up-to-date. The po4a translation tool can also handle texinfo. What
I insist on is using po files instead of a plain text translation. With po
files
we can much better track changes and react on them.
