Yesterday I pushed a first draft of the rec-mode manual. It is in

I had a read through it. Some comments:

1. I suggest that you define a macro for the latin abbreviation "etc." similar
to what you have done for "ie".

2. In this sentence:

"The following commands iterate through the fields in a record, and to
get information about some of the properties of the fields."

the clause following "and" doesn't fit the subject of the sentance.

3. This sentence " The user can then select ony of the
options by pressing the corresponding label, or cancel the operation
by pressing @kbd{RET}." contains a typo. "ony" --> "any".

4. @item For any other kind of fields an edition buffer is opened ...

Is the term "edition buffer" something that Emacs nerds understand? It's
a term I've never heard before "edit buffer" sounds more natural to me.

5. There are several places where the text talks about "the user". The GNU
style is to address the person using the program as "you".
