Unfortunately the output is not very useful.
gdb looks in the wrong path.

Running

 # gdb /usr/bin/recfix /tmp/foo.rec

gives me

   warning: Could not find object file
"/Users/swick/Desktop/recutils-1.3/src/.libs/librec.lax/libgnu.a/asnprintf.o"
- no debug information available for "asnprintf.c".

and the same warning for all the other object files too.


They are in

/Users/swick/Desktop/recutils-1.3/lib/.libs/asnprintf.o
/Users/swick/Desktop/recutils-1.3/lib/asnprintf.o
...

I get only these warnings. No debugging output
