Would you consider using the dot notation in the records chain notation?
I.e. If many records recursively reference other records, we may find this:
record1:field_depth1:field_depth2:value that could be replaced with:
record1.field_depth1.field_depth2.value
I prefer to use colons instead of dots, because we may find it
interesting to link the notion of references with the notion of compound
field names in the future.
