i was actually searching for something to replace this plugin:
https://metacpan.org/pod/Reply::Plugin::Editor
as you need to validate the command before editing so my current usage
is:
;<cr>
#e<cr>
that is sad.
anyway: now i know it's not possible through readline directly.
