Hi,
So, after quite a lot of extra hours spent on this, we were able to
track MOST of the breakage to this commit:

This commit causes a paste of 35k to start breaking at approx 4k. and
then has breakage in practically all the lines, with some lines
completely missing and other partially there.
Using the kernel of the previous commit has a little bit of breakage.
This is, for the same 35k file, some pastes will work, and some others
will have up to 3 lines of missing characters.
This smaller breakage comes from some change between 2.6.30 and 2.6.32.
