The definitions work fine with groff -Tascii -man. That's what I
use to
build the man page copies shipped with the distribution.
The installed nroff-manpage is formatted on Solaris with
sh -c cd /opt/csw/man; nroff -u0 -Tlp -man /opt/csw/man/man3/
history.3 | col -x
which is not capable of processing the macro properly. If there is no
reason
against it I would appreciate a lowest denominator set of nroff-
operation
for maximum portability (including Solaris :-).
