I have since incorporated the ns support into RCS; it should appear in the upcoming 5.10.0 release. In the meantime, could you please check it out from savannah and see how it fares on your system? If there are still problems, we will surely want to address them before the release.
Sorry for the late reply. "make check" was run more than 200 times in rcs-5.10.0, and all tests were passed flawlessly. Thank you.
