I shall save the old, unpack the distribution (or do you have
an rsync/git URL I could use?) - I try to stay 'limited' to
distributions.
It pains me to repeat my request, but here it is:
Could you *please* not top-post?
On my grouchier days, i find reading top-posted messages not
worth the trouble, and am inclined to ignore them. Personally,
i think AIX support is nice, but in the end, it is not critical,
and i won't lose sleep if this thread dies and the next RCS
release fails "make check" under AIX.
Anyway...
Now that the ‘LIBPTHREAD’ propagation weirdness is addressed, i
think the next phenomenon to investigate is why RCS creates
comma-v file "RCS" instead of "x,v" in the tests. Let's
concentrate on t511 to start.
So, before you go to any further trouble, could you please post
the file config.log (that was produced by ./configure)?
