And I found a thread on lists.gnu.org in the mail archive. It explains that this is a problem in the tests having to do with running this as root.. which I am doing.

I tried ./configure without the –disable-* options and it still fails the same.  Here is more information for the failure.

Folks,

 

I am installing RCS on a red hat 5 server.  After doing ./configure with –disable-mmap and –disable-suid options I ran make.  Then I ran make check.  I got the following from the make check:
