Dear sir
        I encountered a problem while compiling GNU Prolog version 1.2.8
on a sparc-sun-solaris machine. The following was the output just before
compilation terminated abruptly (during the make operation).

.................
...................
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/gprolog-1.2.8/src/Pl2Wam'
make[1]: Entering directory `/var/tmp/gprolog-1.2.8/src/Fd2C'
gplc -c --fast-math fd2c.pl

Fatal Error: Memory allocation fault
compilation failed
make[1]: *** [fd2c.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/gprolog-1.2.8/src/Fd2C'
make: *** [all] Error 1

I had run configure as follows in gprolog-1.2.8/src directory

$ ./configure --prefix=/var/tmp
$ make
Since I am just a user on the network
without any super-user powers, I was trying to install GPROLOG in
/var/tmp.

I would be glad if you could help me out.
