qtparted popped up an error while I was running it. The following message
printed on the command line:
--------
A bug has been detected in GNU Parted. Refer to the web site of parted
http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/parted.html for more informations of what
could be useful for bug submitting! Please email a bug report to
address@hidden containing at least the version (1.7.1) and the following
message: Assertion (disk != NULL) at ../../libparted/disk.c:1319 in function
ped_disk_next_partition() failed.
Error: Unable to satisfy all constraints on the partition.

--------
The failure happened right after I started qtparted (sudo qtparted), when I
clicked on the device /dev/sda (that's the only disk listed). The error seems
to happen every time I use qtparted. However, before I installed Solaris on my
system, qtparted was working fine. My syslog has some info about my disk
(printed at boot time):

Nothing is written to my syslog when the qtparted error happens.
Happy debugging...let me know if you need any more info.
