bug in GNU Parted(1.6.21)

Hi

parted gave the following message:
You found a bug in GNU Parted.  Please email a bug report to
address@hidden containing the version (1.6.21), and the following
message:

Assertion (metadata_length > 0) at ../../libparted/disk_dos.c:1935 in
function add_logical_part_metadata() failed.


I think there is a problem on my partition table. fdisk still works but
the ubuntu 6.06 install says that no disk is present. The problem
started after I added a new partition with fdisk.
This is before the change.

xp has problems seeing the size of hda. I hope that is enough info.

If you have any ideas of how I can fix my partitions it will be
appreciated but it is not really necessarry at the moment.
