Well, it probably isn't a bug per se, but figured you might be
interested anyway.
I tried to use QtParted on a Lacie 80GB firewire drive (/dev/sda1) that
was formatted to work on a Mac. Upon selecting /dev/sda in qtparted, I
got a pop-up box saying: "Critical error during ped_disk_duplicate!"
As well, I got a number of messages on the console:
/usr/sbin/qtparted
Session management error: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the
authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based
authentication failed
Error: Unable to satisfy all constraints on the partition.
A bug has been detected in GNU parted. Please email a bug report to
address@hidden containing the version (1.6.6) and the following
message:Assertion (!disk->update_mode) at disk.c:322 in function
ped_disk_destroy() failed.
A bug has been detected in GNU parted. Please email a bug report to
address@hidden containing the version (1.6.6) and the following
message:Assertion (disk != NULL) at disk.c:1037 in function
ped_disk_next_partition() failed.
As a side note, I've used qtparted quite a few times and it has always
worked flawlessly... great piece of software!!
Thanks,
-Edward
