These are reasonable suggestions, just it isn't clear when to
issue this message. All the time? Only if you are renumbering
a partitions that you didn't create in this session?
I think "all the time" is the only reasonable solution in general...
WRT "root", it's really hard to know what root really is.
(For exapmle, if you're using a rescue disk, then root is technically
the rescue disk) So, I think a warning about lilo and fstab should
appear together.
