Assertion in GNU parted 1.4.16 (Red Hat Linux 7.2)

Hi developers

I was able to reproduce an assertion in GNU parted, version 1.4.16.

Simply issue the following 2 commands:

select /dev/hda        (any drive will do)
p

Now pressing CTRL+D shows the message

   (parted) You found a bug in GNU Parted.  Please email a bug report to
address@hidden containing the version (1.4.16), and the following
message:

   Assertion (dev->open_count > 0) at device.c:872 in function
ped_device_close() failed.
   Ignore Cancel ?
