Parted with small memory

Hi,

I tried to start the image disk 1.4.20 on an 80386sx25 with 1 MB RAM.
It says loading...(dots continue until the end of line), then performs a
reboot.
Would it be possible to produce a version that would work on such a hardware
(or even on 8088, as I'm a little bit involved in FreeDOS)?
