Some indications about parted, please!!!

Hello friends,

        i'm a spanish programmer who has his first experiences whith Linux.
i'm installed SuSE Linux 7.2 Personal in a HD of 10 GB.
I have installed W'2000 in a H.D of 4,3 GB.
Mi problem is that i need more frre-disk space for my work, and i've heard
about 'parted' like the solution for my problem.
I need about 4 or 5 GB more for the Windows partition.
Could you say me what i should do for get them????
