[PATCH 00/32] Various man page revisions.

Hi folks,

This batch resumes my general wordsmithing.  It tidies up the last
stragglers from my submission of 100 patches on 30 March, as ncurses 6.5
was settling into a freeze.

I retained some of these stragglers as separate patches even though some
of them are now so small that I ordinarily would not submit them as
discrete pieces.

There is some further gradual motion here toward supporting users who
are interested only in the wide-character API.  This approach causes
some duplication of text, but it also conceals some confusing warts that
the 1980s "narrow" API got stuck with that would frustrate non-experts.
