tack's been gone from the ncurses tree since March - see my ftp area for a 
copy of tack 1.06 which is supposed to build with the current (and 
earlier) ncurses.  You can untar that inside the ncurses build tree, or 
(if you configure --with-ticlib) as a separate tree.
