Dear Thomas (and All),

what is the recommended steps if one want to have both wide and
normal versions of ncurses installed, normal being the default (and not fixing the programs to look into ncurses/ncursesw for header files)?

Any suggestions?

BTW, the fact that --enable/disable-overwrite affects both libcurses link and header files location seems to me to be somewhat confusing.

With all of that, it's possible that I have overlooked something.
Is there some case where the --enable-overwrite results are not
working as they are "supposed to"?

In the scenario of normal and wide curses coexisting,
one wants to "overwrite" headers, but not library, when instaling wide,
and to "overwrite" library, but not headers (really - not install them) for
normal.

Did you have in mind that coexistence when designing installation process or the whole idea of having two versions at the same time is not considered kosher by you?

If yes - some options to disable insallation of headers and mans,
to control _separately_ "overwriting" of libraries and headers _may be_
welcome (but not necessary, of course).

 Sincerely, Michail
