I did fix the problem with the blank line, but did not think to
check if there were further problems.  Running a quick check now,
I see there are.

That trailing ')' on the second line is one issue (since I'd only expected 
one set of parentheses on a line - and see that the version now in 
Debian/testing does that too ;-).

So I'll revisit this and try to keep ahead of it...
