Actually, I completely forgot to mention that it is a gentoo-specific utility. 
At start, it will execute `portageq' which probably doesn't exist on your 
system... For a simple test-case, this will do it though:

cat > /usr/bin/portageq << EOF
#!/bin/bash
echo "/etc"
echo ""
EOF
