Hi

Isn't here in this list anyone that can help me with this issue?

I generally catch up on my email on the weekend; am currently working
on other things.

I don't know why you would be using 5.0, which is several years old.
The current version of ncurses is 5.5 from last fall. For the information given, I would first verify that the two utility programs built with $(BUILD_CC) in the ncurses subdirectory ran properly - there is no indication in the report that this was done. Past that, if you have no debugger, you can still compile-in ncurses' trace feature (which I recall noting on a recent message) and get some rough idea where it's dying.

Subject: ncurses on a embeded RTL8186 Linux system

Dear developer/mantainer

I am trying to install ncurses on a 2Mega FlashRom and 16 Mbytes RAM MIPS' system.

I managed to compile and boot the device and I'd like to run some ncurses dependent applications.

The status up to the moment is:
1- I cross-compilled ncurses 5.0 and installed in the box;

2- there is a very small set of libc installed with some missing functions I
had to write myself (no big deal);

3- I tried to run test/bs and test/blue (i had a very limited space on the box's ramdisk) and got some output on screen (completely misaligned) when
I use ansi terminal (any other terminal type segfaults the application);

I also tried ncurses 5.5 and got only segfaults no mater what terminal.

Can you help me on debugging this situation?

Best Regards
