i need help

 hello 
 
     i am developing an application using ncurses.
i have some doubts regarding the screen size....
when i run the program in terminal (maximized) it
displays all the fields.. but the same program behave
diiferent in console . ie .. all fields do not fit the
size of the console ... 
how can i controll the display of all fields ?
please help me
