For some reason the cdk.tar.gz from last December is cashed by the proxy server at my work place. My ISP at home gives me the updated file.

There may be a caching problem (occasionally someone reports one).

What I see (cut/paste from lynx) is

Nov  8 00:46  GNU Compr. Tar   cdk-4.9.11-20041107.tgz  360Kb
Dec 26 01:22  GNU Compr. Tar   cdk-4.9.11-20041224.tgz  360Kb
Mar  9 02:23  GNU Compr. Tar   cdk-4.9.11-20050308.tgz  364Kb
Dec 11  2003  GNU Compr. Tar   cdk-perl-20031210.tgz  80Kb
Dec 11  2003  Symbolic Link    cdk-perl.tar.gz -> cdk-perl-20031210.tgz
Mar  9 02:23  Symbolic Link    cdk.tar.gz -> cdk-4.9.11-20050308.tgz

When I upload a new tarball, I run a script that selects the highest version and applies the symbolic link to that.  Among other reasons, it lets me refer to the latest version in the webpage without having to edit the webpage as well.  (Occasionally I forget to run the script, but that's perhaps once a year).

Perhaps some cache is confused by the link remaining the same name. If it's that, you can always visit the ftp url and get the right file.
