        + modify menu library to account for actual number of columns used by
          multibyte character strings, in the wide-character configuration
          (adapted from patch by Philipp Tomsich).
        + add "-x" option to infocmp like tic's "-x", for use in "-F"
          comparisons.
        + modify termcap-parsing to retain 2-character aliases at the beginning
          of an entry if the "-x" option is used in tic.
