Is there a reason AC_PROG_LIBTOOL isn't called to build a _custom_
libtool to build ncurses? If someone wants to build 32 and 64-bit
versions of the ncurses library with libtool, they must then have a
32-bit and 64-bit version of libtool available. With AC_PROG_LIBTOOL,
this would not be necessary.
