ncurses on os x

just wanted to let you know i got ncurses building fine on os x with  
libtool

there is the patch, and the info file used to build (useful for  
building by hand)

the problem is setting libtool clears the ranlib variable, so we set a  
temp one to use, and also there was a problem with the version and abi  
version in the 5.3 release, at least with libtool, but it has been  
since fixed it seems. just a word of caution.
