The Debian version should work (KEY_RESIZE has been there quite a while).
You might find the September version in some rpm (e.g., Mandrake or Redhat)
which came out around then, but it's not very fruitful to upgrade to a
version in which I pointed out a bug. Rollup and incremental patches for
ncurses are at
