If our list server software permits it, I'm certainly in favor of:
1. Blocking redistribution of messages by non-subscribers.
2. Maintaining a blacklist of addresses or domains from which
subscriptions are rejected.
I took the trouble of emailing the Russian server from which a lot of
this junk seems to originate. I explained that they were sending
their advertisements to a non-Russian language mailing list of
computer programmers and I politely asked them to stop. But of
course they ignored me.
