If you are in a virtual Ubuntu on Windows 10, do not lose heart. A
couple commands to install developer packages may be all you need.
If you have some C programming experience, and tried to grok the
Makefile generated by automake, you might feel like the victim of some
cruel joke. Please hang in there. A couple install commands may be
all you need.
