Follow-up Comment #1, bug #37949 (project mit-scheme):

Your "bash snippet" builds a native Scheme, yet your error is from building a
LIAR/C Scheme.  So, first of all, what's up with that?

If you are trying to build a native Scheme using a LIAR/C host, you are a bit
off the beaten path.  I have only been testing native builds on native hosts.
