exactly did you type to provoke this error? Why do you think it demonstrates a bug
in make? From the information
you've given, it just looks like you've erroneously deleted src/bw_file_read.c. (2MiB
is a large attachment to send unsolicited to a mailing list. Posting a link to, say, http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/lmbench/lmbench-3.0-a7.tgz?download
