At 9.a. Device Manager:

 

udev is not available for unmerging and when I attempt to merge devfsd I get the following error/bug

 

!!! ERROR: sys-fs/devfsd-1.3.25-r9 failed.

!!! Function src_compile line 566, Exitcode 2

!!! emake failed

 

NOTE:  Apparently UDEV is not supported for 2.4 kernel, but 2.4 kernel is default for Sparc 64 bit processor).
