First, you probably want to upgrade to the latest version, which is
3.79.1.
m> gcc -c -o ucanoscan.o -g -Wall -DDEBUG_DATASAVE -DUGEN_DRIVER
-I/usr/local/include ucanoscan.c
m> make: gcc: Command not found
So, your makefile wants to invoke GCC, but there is no GCC available on
your system (or at least not on your PATH).
How is this a make bug?
