I have applied this patch as well since I'm building for an amd64 system. I installed into an alternate location and I don't even see a "mail" binary (which I assume would be necessary to replace the one that was causing a segmentation fault).

The only error I see is: table.c:126: error: âmailvar_set_complâ undeclared here (not in a function)

This appears in the std error for the make commands, but not in the std output.
