Sergey, immense thanks for the details.  I have the guts sorted out,
but still some questions.

  mu_message_get_uidl (msg, uidbuf, sizeof(uidbuf), NULL);

This function requires an fetched message, some POP3 allow (AFAIU) to
fetch only the list of UIDLs, is there a function in MU that does
that?  I could not find one.
