[bug-mailutils] MIME request

Would it be at all difficult to merge metamail, or some other appropriate
MIME filter (or one written froms scratch), into mailutils?  I find
having the capability to extract attachments, or MIME encoded text,
to be a severe crimp in using mail to read email.

Currently, I use Metamail (which has GPL compatible license),
though it has difficulty with multipart/alternative.  Since more
and more emails are being sent this way (with richtext formatting),
this is becoming a more difficult problem.
