[bug-mailutils] CVS checkout doesn't build

Hi, to everyone in the group. Thank you to all
maintainers of mailutils for doing a great job.

I'm wanted to get mailutils 0.6 to work with
maildir for mail, POP3 and IMAP4.
I'd be thankful for any additional hints or
pieces of documentation.

mail didn't work with maildir out of the box, so I looked
into the code and found a few quirks and played a bit with
the code. I'll report about that later.

In reporting bugs I thought it might be a good idea to
look into the latest code, so I checked out CVS to find
that it doesn't build because it is missing a few files:
  configure
  scripts/install_sh
  scripts/config.* (3)
  all Makefile.in
  ...
At that point I stopped looking because I thought I might
get into trouble by just taking these files from vs.0.6.
Can they be taken savely? Is there a reason that these
files and maybe other files are missing?
