Ah, I see. It seems, than, that it fails to expunge the mailbox
somehow... Could you try running it with --debug=TP option? This should
display some (possibly helpful) mailutils traces.
I've upgraded now my debian package to version 0.6.90 (etch and sid) and
I've created a log which I will send you directly in a separate mail.
I see in the logs:
-- snip start --
NO/Bad Tagged: BAD Protocol Error: "Specified message set is invalid".
Expunge on mailbox `imap://user:address@hidden' failed:
Invalid argument
-- snip end --
Besides that I've compiled the version that you've referred me to:
ftp://download.gnu.org.ua/pub/alpha/mailutils/mailutils-20051213.tar.bz2
This version calls itself 0.6.92.
If I run this version then even the copying of the mail to the new
folder does not happen and the messages are not discarded in the
original INBOX either.
I see only a lot of error messages printed to stderr:
NO/Bad Tagged: BAD Protocol Error: "One of the supplied fetch items is
invalid".
I also noticed that the debug output of this version looks completely
different from the 0.6.90 version that I got via a debian package. I
also will forward to you a log file of a run of the new version.
Another somehow unrelated question I have would be: How can I avoid to
put the whole imap URL with username and password into the fileinto
directive?
Thank you very much for your help!
