[bug-mailutils] mail (GNU Mailutils 0.6) bug on debian sarge linux

Hi!
When I use 'mail' (GNU Mailutils 0.6 on debian sarge linux), it always 
states I'd have no mail:

soma:~/tex> mail
No mail for sbock

although there is a file
-rw-rw----  1 sbock mail 8662 2005-03-16 18:32 /var/spool/mail/sbock

and if I enter
soma:~/tex> mail -u sbock
"/var/mail/sbock": 8 messages 8 unread
...

the messages are displayed normally.
Please tell me if I can do anything further to clarify the problem.
